Wildflowers: What is this wild Iris?

    This wild Iris was observed second week of June in Bryce Canyon. Was frustrated not to be able identify the species in Utah and general Wild flower searches. What is it?

    Location:
    Salt Lake City, Utah
    Iris missouriensis, the only native species listed in Utah.
    There are also few cultivated escapees around the cities.
