I have one last flower to submit for identification for today .. on July 31, we saw this vine growing and flowering profusely in Summerland in British Columbia (zone 6, I think), at the "Dirty Laundry Winery"

Yes, that is really what it is called - see
    www.dirtylaundry.ca/

This vine was obviously thriving there, although I've never seen one in the Lower Mainland. Does anyone know what it is?

Yes, Fallopia aubertii appears to be the right species. This vine was described variously in the internet as "a fast grower!" or a "Mile-a-Minute" vine; it's no wonder it was growing so rampantly at that vineyard. Very pretty, though.

    Thank you, Silver Surfer.
