In The Garden: What is this tree?

    I just moved into a new house, and there are all these trees along the fence, growing along wires. I've attached a picture of the leaf, bud and partial flower (most have fallen off). Leafs are simple, alternate, with a single main vein and toothed margins.

    Or they could be regular apple trees, which is more likely if they were espaliered.
