Found this tree in a yard in Pittsburgh. Any ideas? The stems are covered in the outer reaches with these odd clustered fruits that are hard, waxy-greenish, with a filamentous dark brown tip.

Cercidiphyllum japonicum - some people say it smells like burnt sugar, or butterscotch. People stop to take pictures of ours this time of the year. The colors range from green to yellow to orange to pink - Gorgeous!
I love the way the rain droplets hang from the branches once all the leaves have fallen.
My husband loves this tree when all the leaves have fallen...period.
