    Hello,

I found this twig on the ground in the Cottonwood Community Gardens and am forcing it in water. I think that the buds look really cool...I would like to know what plant it is. Thanks all.

Second it. It is very common for this tree to lose parts, locally. The part that you have appears quite dead. Find the tree, and you will usually find some viable seeds they look like a small pointed walnut, with two,(3) seeds inside that look like pecans, and will be almost the same colour as the branch you found, but darker. The easiest way to grow the tree is to strike a branch directly in the ground.

    Thanks all,

I don't remember ever seeing a Paulownia in bloom around there, but now I'll keep my eyes open. I think the branch is alive and I just think it looks pretty in a vase. I love the Paulownia by the bus/train station at Main and terminal - its twisted trunk is really cool and so are the flowers. I guess they are a weak tree though...
