I just brushed the spikey plant (photo 2) with my forearm and got a nasty welt, which caused by whole arm to tingle for a day. Photo 1 features a 3-leafed vine that looks like poison ivy, but it does not seem to irritate the skin. I've searched online for look-alikes but I cannot identify these plants, and/or determine if they are irritants. Maybe I should just rip them all out of my gardens? Thanks. Mike in Ottawa
