I have two separate large shrubs the second one being much younger. Are these the same plant? The smaller one was identified locally as "Nacedero" which should be Trichanthera gigantea however I've looked at images of that plant and the flowers appear to be completely different from those of my plants. What are my plants?

It is not Trichanthera gigantea <Nacedero> Leaves and flowers are different. =)

You should look information under: Megaskepasma erythrochlamys.

You might also have some luck looking for it as Justicia. It's a common garden plant here, and also a native.
