This plant is in my back yard. It loses all of it's leaves in the winter. It has lavender flowers is spring and fall. Does anyone know what this is?

Thank you. I am used to seeing the big red or white ones on plants with dark green leaves that stay on in the winter. This one is small and on a plant with small light green leaves. They acted so different I didn't think they were the same type of plant.

It's a different species, but similar. Yours is a double Hibiscus syriacus, a hardy species.
