Identification: what is this plant?

    A lady gave me this plant today and I just can't figure out what it is. The leaves are green on the outside and purple on the underside. The seedpods are awesome pockets that you can see tiny white flowers starting on the inside. Can anyone help?

    A pretty easy going plant to care for. I have mine off to the side of a sunny window. Water when dry.
