What is this plant ?

    Any idea of what it is ???

    Looks like a species of Gnidia (fam. Thymelaeaceae).

    The South African species G. polystachya is naturalised in the Açores, Canary Is and Madeira. Here in Sydney we find G. squarrosa occasionally naturalised.
