What is this plant?

    Hi,

    I was visiting a tropical butterfly house last year, and was asked by the staff to photograph this plant. They seemed quite excited by it, so I took the photo.

    What is the plant? And why were they excited?

    Aristolochia (not sure which variety, its not gigantea, looks close to littoralis)
