This plant or tree showed up in my yard this year and I was wondering what it is. Can anyone help me discover the mystery?

Wow really? Should I expect yellow flowers in spring? I'm amazing I go this out of no where. One question I was trimming it a bit and my 8 month old son go a hold
Of a leaf and tried putting it in his mouth are the flowers, pods or leaf poisonous?

Looks most like Alpine Laburnum L. alpinum. Laburnums often self-seed, so there is likely to be an adult specimen not too far away.
