What is this palm??

    Hi there,

    I don't have a photo, but I think some of you experts will know what I'm talking about.

    It's a type of palm I think, but the cone thingy sits on the soil and roots into the soil, and the fronds grow from the cone... if you need more detail, let me know...

    Beaucarna recurvata - Ponytail palm? It's not really a palm, but likes very bright, dry conditions.
