I bought a pot of ornamental grass at a yard sale, but don't know what it is. It is supposed to grow to 6' tall.
    Any ideas what it is?
Cortaderia selloana has been suggested. Would that be a good guess?

Cortaderia very doubtful. It's more like the variegated Arundo donax, Giant Reed. If so, it should get leaves to 3 cm or more wide.

    Thanks for that thought, Tony.
However, I doubt A. donax because of the size.
"Mine" should grow to just under 2 meters, whereas A. donax tops at about 6 meters.

Miscanthus sinensis 'Cabaret' produces large leaves.

    Thanks, Ron B.
Miscanthus sinensis 'Cabaret' looks very promising.
I'll stick with that unless I get evidence to the contrary.
