Identification: What is this mushroom

I found this today while out for a walk in the woods.
It was in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.

 

A partly discolored ascocarp of Helvella lacunosa.

I'd suggest Hypomyces cervinigenus.

 

I am thinking closer to the Hypomyces cervinigenus. There were several of them all like this one.
