Identification: What is this lichen?

I've been mistakenly calling this 'Caribou Lichen' for some time now and I'd love to know what it actually is. Found growing on loads of balsam firs in Newfoundland. Any ideas? I still think it's in the Cladina class, but I don't have access to any ID guides.

Many thanks! I've got another one for you if you've got the time. An old hunter once told me this is called 'Bark lichen' but I've not been able to find anything through my early investigations as to what it might actually be. Here's a photo.

Again, this is found in the forests of Newfoundland.

The second picture looks like Hypogymnia. I'm not sure of the species.

 

Thanks. I think you're right on that; I had some help from a friend who feels sure it's Hypogymnia physodes.
