Identification: What is this house plant?

    I was recently assigned a house plant in a horticulture class and was instructed to find out its name. Can anyone identify this?

    Definitely not Coffee arabica, missing are the necessary tiered leaves, it looks like a group of Avocado seedlings, but that is a stretch.If there is a nut like bulb in the subsoil, then avocado...

    It sure looks like Coffea arabica to me. It is not an Avocado.
