Identification: What is this bizarre plant?

    I'm not sure if this plant is supposed to grow so long and lanky. I can't find anything like it in books/online. It has never flowered...possibly a type of fern?

    from the shape of the leaves, i'd say it's some type of epiphylium. so idea which one, though!!

    the growth pattern doesn't quite match though - so i may be wrong.

    it's an interesting looking plant!!

    Gooseneck cactus (Epiphyllum oxypetalum). Surely one of the most asked about plants on the internet. Searching this and other gardening forums (see link in box on right side of this page) should result in ample additional discussion.

    Yes: This one grows large and climbing via long slender shoots.

    ahh, i was going to say oxypetalum - wasn't sure if i was correct as the growth pattern looked a bit different.

    and, oops, gotta work on my spelling, too!
