what is this beautiful simple white flower?

    hello, i have found the attached stunning white flower under a hazelnut tree. It has 6 petals, and a yellow centre. There are 6 yellow stamen. the flower is a solo. i cant find it on the internet. can anyone help me to identify it.

    Looks like a fully opened white Tulip.

    hmm - not sure as it never opens upright as a tulip.

    It sure looks like a tulip to me as well. Maybe an unusual type that does not have the type of bud you are used to seeing on tulips.
