hello, i have found the attached stunning white flower under a hazelnut tree. It has 6 petals, and a yellow centre. There are 6 yellow stamen. the flower is a solo. i cant find it on the internet. can anyone help me to identify it.
It sure looks like a tulip to me as well. Maybe an unusual type that does not have the type of bud you are used to seeing on tulips.
From your pic it looks as if the whole plant has flopped over and the leaves and flower are lying on the ground. Maybe the past warm days opened the flower without you even noticing a bud. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?i...earchBox&rlz=1I7SUNA_en-GB&ndsp=20&tbs=isch:1 http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?i...a&start=60&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&ndsp=20&tbs=isch:1
