Identification: What is the name of this tree?

    Hi, I’ve been walking past station square in Metrotown, and am wondering what the name is of the tree on the right of the photo. It looks like a Japanese maple. But I am not sure.

    Yes, one of the many Japanese Maple cultivars.

    @Jaeson Mok good morning. This is of the Linearilobum group of maples or often referred to as Strapleaf. Koto no ito or Koto ito komachi are favourites for ID. A finer version is Fairy hair.
    All three could be the one you are looking at, but a closer photo may be needed.
