Identification: What is the name of this plant?

I was cleaning out my recently deceased grandfather's house and I found this that I couldn't identify. I've tried flowerchecker, but I only get back that they can't resolve it.

Hoping that anyone out there know what type this is so I can properly care for it.

 

Looks like a Paphiopedilum to me. Can't tell more than that without having it flower.

 

I think you might be correct. There was a lot of other orchids in the house, but I'll just have to wait and see when it blooms. Thanks for you reply!
