what is the name of this plant?

    this is in my mothers yard,she wants to take care of them better,but doesnt know what they are. I told her someone here will know. :) thank you for your help.

    They are forest dwellers in South Africa, with fairly dry, cool (but above freezing) winters and moist summers. Yours look like they're getting too much sun.

    I'd inspect them for mites. Look for fine, dense webbing with tiny speckles on it. Use a hand lens if you have to.

    if free from mites ...what can we do if they are already planted in dirt; can we improve it somehow and help them bloom? Do we have to move them all?
    any suggestions?
