How tall does this acer palma. sango Kaku (Japanese Coral bark) get? I am thinking of planting one but need something that can reach at least 15 ft preferably more and be about 15ft wide or more.
Sango Kaku can easily reach that size. How long it will take to get there depends on your environmental conditions and how big you start at, you might be looking at ten years or so. Vertrees suggests an ultimate height of 7m (23 feet) and width of 6m (20 feet). I have seen old specimens in an Arboretum that were around this size. Hope that is some help.
