    Hello and thanks for advise.
I am a very new to gardening and find different bugs in the soil. before killing them I try to find how dangerous are they.
I also planted a cherry tree 2 years ago ( so this is year 3 spring picture). When I bought them there were plenty of flowers. last and this year there were almost no flowres and no fruits at all. this year I also see branches with no leaves. What should I do? who killed it? should I prune?
    Thanks!!!!

The caterpillar is a cutworm. I don't know the what species it is, but they are all nasty pests in the garden.

It's hard to say what happened to the cherry tree; it looks like winter kill of the end shoots. What kind of cherry tree is it, and was it outdoors all winter?

    Thanks a lot for answer!
How can I get rid of those pests?
Yes this cherry is outdoor and it's a hybrid of different kinds ... do you mean the names on the tag?

There is lots of information on the Web about cutworm control in the garden. What should be done depends on the crop you are trying to protect and whether you want to use organic methods or not.

Is the cherry a sweet cherry, a sour cherry, or something else? Knowing the variety also helps. You should be able to google the hardiness zone for your cherry tree to see if it is really adapted to your location.
