Identification: what is it?

    I'm taking care of this plant for a friend, but I don't know what it is. Any ideas? Also, does it prefer sunlight or shade?

    We grow them in nearly full sun over here, but bright light would suffice...

    Actually the correct name for the species is Dracaena surculosa according to the Dracaena monograph by Bos.

    Too many errors on the Clemson webpage.
