Identification: what is it?

I'm taking care of this plant for a friend, but I don't know what it is. Any ideas? Also, does it prefer sunlight or shade?

 

Gold-dust Dracaena (Dracaena godseffiana)?

We grow them in nearly full sun over here, but bright light would suffice...

Second Dracaena godseffiana. They tend to scorch easily in full sun. I've always had better luck growing them in indirect light or a northern exposure.

Actually the correct name for the species is Dracaena surculosa according to the Dracaena monograph by Bos.
