What is it? Ranunculaceae? Western NC

    Leaves are opposite, lobed. Yellow Oenothera-like flower though rest of plant doesn't match. Found in Western NC mtn woodland habitat....lots of shade.

    Thanks for any ideas!

    Yes, looks like it. That looks like poison ivy below it in the second photo, by the way.

    Yes....thank-you for the warning! Poison ivy is everywhere here...at least it's native....it's the kudzu that's starting to climb in this direction that I find more alarming!
