What is growing in my sago palm?

These tentacles are growing out of my palm. What are they? Is something wrong with it? They are growing really fast. Will it die if i cut them off?

But they are not opening. So you are saying if i put it in the sun they may open up and stop growing to be long?

 

Probably. I don't know if you have to ease the plant into the sun, since it is not used to it.
