    Hello everyone,

I have two Fantex Ash (Fraxinus velutina) trees planted about 2 months ago. 2 week after planting, they developed what you see in the pics. I went to a nursery and the lady said it is improper watering. Recently, I had the trueGreen guy and he said this is probably fungus.

    Is that fungus?
Will that affect the growth of the tree?

Please help, your recommendations and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The small round spots are probably a minor fungal disease; I'd not worry about it.

The other dieback on the leaves is probably related to transplant shock; the tree should recover over the next couple of years as it re-grows a good root system.
