I bought this plant at a green house in town. The plant was originally a gift to owner in which she has made many many cuttings off of. The owner calls it chicken blood but does not know the botanical name.
Iresine herbstii Looks like Iresine Herbstii, common name Beefsteak Plant. Try googling for some images to compare and see if you think it looks like your plant. (Chicken Blood, Beefsteak - some meaty names, hugh?)
