This lone tree is across the road from the parking lot at Second Beach in Vancouver. It has double pale pink Ichiyo-looking blossoms (in colour and size), but there are either no peduncles or very short ones, and the blossoms cluster around the branches. The leaves are an unusual pale tan, almost mustard colour. The blossoms are all up too high to get a close look at them.

Looks like an unhealthy 'Ichiyo' to me.
