What berry-looking plant and what is the lumpy growth

    Need help to identify this plant. Leaves look like some berry plant but it has lumpy growth

    Excuse me but with all the good will to try to help you in the identification, at least for me, you should insert a photo showing the details of the plant because with the inserted one it can be everything and the opposite of everything.
    Otherwise wait for some intervention from those who have better knowledge or sight than mine.

    Wow; very impressed with your diagnosis Ron . . . I could not identify the plant let alone the affliction.

    Hi Ron - I think you are absolutely right ! I checked this morning and read it on google ! More photos for you to see. Will probably dissect the gall to find those wasps larvae ! And those berries do look like Thimbleberry!
