I am now spending my first spring on my property in middle Tenn. and have found wonderful plants, tree's and flowers growing. I can not find what these two tree's are named. One looks like a locust, has the thorn growing at the base of each leaf stem. and the flowers are very fragrant.
This second & third picture have these flowers, but they don't smell. and when the leaves started coming out of the bud I actually thought they were flowers before opening. I'm new at this, so excuse my lack of proper wording. thanks.

Agree with Robinia pseudoacacia and Aesculus flava.
