What are these four plants?

    1. This plant almost looks like it comes from the legume family:

    3. The one in the center with the small white flowers. Kind of looks like jewelweed except the flowers are different:

    4. What is the plant in the upper left hand corner (with the heart shaped leaves)? It kind of looks like plantain or wild yam and it grows all over the place, but it's not plantain and I don't think it's wild yam:

    1) desmodium, host plant to the long tailed skipper.
    4)wild yam

    Are you sure that is a wild yam?

    I never looked at the whole plant, but that looks like a plant that just creeps along the ground. In case it is, I will look at it and double check.

    Don't think you will see wild yam in Clarkston. Try putting up pictures that give better views of the plant.

    I didn't see the rest of the plant, so I probably wouldn't recognize it.

    Those leaves are pretty definitive & unusual.
