    Hello,
I brought this plant back to life...its a bulb type plant. I dont remember where I got it and I never knew what it was, I just transplanted it and started watering it and it took awhile but it bounced back but its now getting brown spots on the leaves so i dont know what im doing wrong too much water not enough, too much sun, wrong soil, If I knew what type of plant it was I can get it healthty again. It also has 2 off shoots in the planter with it now like 2 mini plants. I would appreciate some suggestion on what it could be. Thank You in advance for any help you offer.

    Veltheimia bracteata.

Its evergreen and will need a lot of extra water in the dry climate of San Diego.

Watering it every day is too much. Watering it thoroughly once or twice a week should be more than enough.

Nope. You don't ever want to water any plant every day, or you'll be seeing the plant rot for sure!
