    hello all!!

In april this year i went on a holiday to Spain (near mijas) and walking we found lots of plants/ trees in seed so we picked a few up. When we got home i planted them but only one germinated (i wasnt expecting any to grow!)

    pics below

one strange thing about the plant/ tree the very bottom of its stem/ trunk is very bulbous?

Your 3rd shows the plant starting to develop leaves with a distinctive shape, identical to my mind with juvenile leaves of one our well known Australian trees, Brachychiton populneus - kurrajong. The slightly bulbous stem base is normally below the soil.

thanks tony for your reply i have googled "Brachychiton populneus" and the images do look very similar, the only difference i have seen so far is the seed doesn't look right. when i planted mine the seed was brown an was very similar to a kidney bean (although smaller)
