What about my banana pup?

    I'm pretty pleased with my curry operations (thanks junglekeeper!) Now am I looking at brute force or delicate surgery for my banana pup?
    BTW, are all these subsurface sprouts called pups regardless of species?

    And yes I was asking about offshoots of other plants. Are they also called pups?

    I usually refer to this type of natural propagation as offsets. I think pups is more or less a 'slang' term for it and applies to all plants that do it.
