Anybody know of a source for viable Cola nuts? Are they legal? (The wasp-waisted bottle no longer contains natural cola apparently. Red Bull makes a drink that does, but I don't think its marketed in Canada.) The flowers in the drawings are kind of pretty, so I thought it might be worth a try.

Still looking for a source for cola (kola) nuts. Cola acuminata, or maybe sterculia acuminata. Got intrigued by its mention in Douglas Copeland's book J Pod. ( And no, I don't have any interest in the other active ingredient.) The only info that is handy is from Wikipedia.

Junglekeeper I don't know how you do it. I can google till my eyes start to flip and I still can't find find stuff like you can. Maybe I just don't go far enough down the list of hits. Got any search hints? Sandeman's turned out to be an excellent supplier and I thank you for that link and these new ones.

You're welcome, Carl. No trick really. I just start with the basic search then continue to exclude search terms until a reasonable number of entries result.
