Where can I obtain a weeping willow tree? If I was able to obtain a branch how do I make it root?

    Thank you

If you see one around you like knock at the door and ask for a shoot to be rooted in water on your windowsill or other place where you can give it light and keep the water fresh.

Various kinds will also be stocked by local plant outlets.

weeping willow are absolutely lovely trees!!

they DO love water and will FIND it, so, if you want to be sure to plant it somewhere where it won't have close or easy access to things like your water lines (the roots will work their way through the pipes)!

Unlike most trees, very easy to root from cuttings - just cut a branch about a metre long and 2-5cm thick, trim off side twigs, and ram it into the ground for 3/4 of its length where you want the tree to grow. Water well and stand back.

As Joclyn suggests, not a tree suitable for planting close to buildings or service lines.
