Hi I have a three year old weeping willow tree that has been doing great, I went on a three day camping trip and came back to a tree that the leaves are dry and brittle, our heat here has been around 105, but I know we got some rain, the tree has endured the heat for three years I cant belive that it is the heat, any help? Sheila
It takes a lot to kill a willow. Most deciduous shrubs and trees can lose a season's leaves from dryness and come back just fine the following year as the twigs stay alive. I'm not sure about a willow's tolerance for plain old heat, vs. drought. Anyway, you have nothing to lose by waiting.
