For those versed in current classifications!!!

Is the Golden weeping willow that is so common in Ontario (& elsewhere), Salix x sepulcralis 'Chrysocoma', or Salix alba 'Tristis', or are they one and the same?

    Thanks
    Simon

They are probably S. X sepulcralis 'Chrysocoma', as that is common and weeping, whereas S. alba var. vitellina 'Tristis' is rare and not droopy. Common one often sold under horticultural synonym S. alba 'Tristis' (and others).
