Hello, hoping someone can tell me if my Weeping Pussy Willow is dead or not or beyond hope. When do green leaves come out???? Do the actual pussy willows come before the leaves and if so how much longer do the leaves take to come? I live in Edmonton so I am about a month behind Vancouver's growing season. All my tree in my yard are blooming. My weeping pussy willows however have nothing on them except a handful of buds that have opened into pussy willows. No green leaves at all. Is this normal???? When I bought it last year it was FULL of leaves and pussywillows so I am confused.

    thanks

The flowers precede the leaves by some time, same as with most other familiar willows.

Thanks for getting back to me. Roughly how long do the leaves take to come after the flowers/pussy willows come out? Also, if I do have new stems coming out from the shaft of the tree do I trim these off or will these turn into pussy willow branches? Just wondering as I assume the tree is grafted so not sure if this new growth is from whatever trunk was used or if it is actual pussy willow? Sorry if I sound like a novice but it is because I am. Thanks

Share a pic of where these new branches are emerging from (include the trunk)?

As for when the leaves will emerge... 2 more weeks?
