We moved here about 23 months ago and the weeping cooper beech is a nicely formed specimen. The problem is that on one side the branches are tending to point upwards and not drooping like most of the rest of the tree. Last winter I pruned the offending branches but it's happening again now towards the end of summer.
Is there a special way to prune these branches or encourage them to droop?

    Are they copper or green?
