    Hi,

I have a young weeping birch tree that I planted last year that isn't leafing out this year. Today I noticed some insect holes in coming from the bark of the tree. Upon further research, I've come to the conclusion that they are from bronze birch borers. Please see the pic attached. The tree is about 6ft tall and has a diameter of about 1" in the centre. Can I still save this tree? If so, what can be done?

    Thank you

If you bought it from a nursery or garden center take it back there, they will give you your money back. They should also know they are selling infested trees.
