This is amongst the english Ivy at the side of my house. Weed Im assuming? It flowers yellow too. It really is pretty but spreads like a weed!
darn! i KNEW it looked familiar...just couldn't put a name on it earlier!! yes, lamium is considered a weed by some. it DOES spread out very, very nicely when the conditions are ideal (fairly shaded area). they do have the prettiest flowers, though... they're fairly easy to keep in check, so, if you like the looks, keep it!
I do like it! It grows in between 6 huge pine trees that separate our lot from next door. It had taken over half our front lawn when we bought the place. My hubby just mowed over it, threw down a bunch of sod and grass seeded. Hasn't been on our lawn since.
No thank you. I already have enough weeds already to contend with!!! Not a Lamium anymore. Its Lamiastrum galeobdolon. It can get out of hand but is often given a reprieve because of its attractive foliage.
