We believe this is an everlasting pea plant. It comes up every year. It has a large root system throughout the planter. We believe but are not sure it flowers. This grows aggressively and is popping up all over. Can someone please help us identify what plant this is and how to contain it so that it doesn't take over the whole garden. Thank you
Looks like an everlasting pea. These can get pretty big in a summer. Flowers should appear and be conspicous unless tops are being removed.
Thank you so much for helping us identify this. Do you have any advice on how to contain it? They grow rather tall and are choking out some of the other garden.
Maybe train it up a tripod or other vertical support to curtail sideways expansion and turn a nuisance into an ornamental feature.
It has become a bit of a pest in our local area - you can't believe how those seeds can be carried so far and so quickly!
Ours start flowering around mid June. I make a point of deadheading it deligently. This does double duties - reduces maturation to seeds and spreading, and increase flower production.
