Please could you help us identify this plant as either a flower of a weed ?
We currently have 3 of them in a flower bed, they each currently stand at 18inchs high with no sign of them producing any kind of bloom, they just seem to be getting bigger and producing just leaves !
    Your help is much appreciated.

    Hmmm... Nicotiana, perhaps?

May need photographs of flower to verify.

If it is causing problems for other plants, my inclination would be to tear out 1 or 2 of them (use gloves!), and leave the other(s) long enough for it/them to flower to help pin down the identification. It certainly looks precocious enough to be weedy.

Both: it's common foxglove (Digitalis purpurea).

Thanks to you both for your comments, I will wait until they flower to confirm identity and will report back with pictures.
