Weed Identification

    Hello, we have this invasive weed in our rocks that has been extremely challenging to get rid of.
    We would like to get rid of it before it goes to pod and re-seeds.
    Please help us identify this plant.
    I am posting some pictures.

    Looks like a violet (Viola species), some of which are quite invasive. Has it flowered? If so, it should be pretty easy to confirm if it's Viola or not.

    Yes. Mostly purple with some white and light pink. They flowered 2 weeks ago.

    Yes. Mostly purple with some white and light pink. They flowered 2 weeks ago. Our flowers look a lot like your picture accept ours are more purple.

    Violets are good plants for wildlife conservation - why not keep them, and enjoy the attractive flowers too?
