    Hi,
I have this weed (attached picture) growing in my garden and in abundance.
It have strong stem with small spikes and leaves with spikes in edges and below it. It is growing approx 1 to 2ft high.
    I live in ontario, canada.

How to remove it, any methods that they do not appear again?

    Thank you in advance.

    Peter

Looks like a thistle, as mentioned by Ron B. You must dig down, find the white root, which grown horizontally, and vertically, and dig every single piece out. And for goodness sake, don't let it go to seed! It's on the invasive species list in BC.
