I found an unknown cherry, which looks like Oshima. Its flower is simple, pure white, and just start to bloom. It is located at 2680 West 50 Ave, Vancouver, among Akebono & Accolade.
I copied this here to discuss the ID before I looked for photos of what was my guess, which is 'Washi-no-o'. I see that in the Kerrisdale thread last year, I did call it that.
