Was given a flower, never seen anything like it. Help ID'ing?

    Hey all. I was given this pretty sweet looking flower. Never seen anything like it before, and was hoping you could help me learn what it is.

    Pretty awesome, right? It smells like lush jungle, not really floral at all..

    Since you're in SF, take the time in the spring to go to the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum -- one of the best collections of Proteaceae (Protea family) in the northern hemisphere.

    My anti-virus software blocks your linked web sites claiming they contain the "Trojan.ADH" , mistaken or false alarm ?

    False alarm. Cl.ly is a file hosting service (cloud-app). Norton has 2 positives from the millions of files shared via the site, but still flags it. See here for a discussion about it, as well as Norton's Safe Web assessment...
